NSO Final Grades

Final grade are entered when students reach their end date, or finish all of the work to earn a credit in a course.

Final Grades

A-B-C-D = student has completed enough work for a credit at the grade indicated

F = is received ONLY if a student has completed enough work to have earned a credit if it were done well, but the quality was not high enough to receive credit.

I% = Incomplete at a certain percent, where % = the percentage of work completed, so a student who completed 20% of the work would receive an I20.

NP = No Pass, for students who have remained active but have not done enough to pass or be given an Incomplete.

P = Pass, for students who have arranged to take the course Pass/Fail with their teacher and local school.

W = Withdrawn, for students who have officially requested and been approved to drop.

WD = Withdrawn/Dropped, for students who have been removed for inactivity.

Status field

This will show “Active” for students working in their classes.

Students who are receiving a final letter grade (A-F or P) and ARE NOT EXPECTING TO DO ANY MORE WORK, are changed to COMPLETED.

This will result in the grade going onto the student’s transcript and an email notification sent to the student, parent and counselor to check the transcript.

Students who are receiving an I%, NP, F, W or WD as a final grade and ARE NOT EXPECTING TO DO ANY MORE WORK, are marked DROPPED.

This will result in the grade going onto the student’s transcript and an email notification sent to the student, parent and counselor to check the transcript.

Students who are receiving an I% (or a letter grade) and ARE EXPECTING TO KEEP GOING TO IMPROVE, remain at ACTIVE.

This will allow them to remain in the course until they have done all the work they can.
